Acer Aspire 7 a717-72g Design

As we’ve already mentioned, there are some similarities between the Aspire 7 and the Aspire 5, including their general looks and portability. And again, The Aspire 7 maintains a weight under 3.0 kg despite not being the lightest laptop available, similar to the Aspire 5. (2.9 kg to be exact).

To be honest, not too bad for a 17-incher. Its thickness, however, is less impressive; at around 27 mm, the device can definitely be classified as “slightly bulky,” we anticipate that the cooling system will benefit from this.

The lid is the biggest difference between this and the Aspire 5. The laptop is slightly more rigid in the middle and is less prone to severe twisting now that it has brushed aluminum sheeting, but the bottom chin still feels somewhat flexible because the hinges are too far apart and the screen’s middle is unsupported.

Speaking of the hinges, they feel a little too tight and prevent one-handed opening of the device. It still has a slightly roughened plastic bottom, two service hatches for easy access to the 2.5-inch HDD and RAM sticks, and a few grills for distributing heat. The left edge under the palm rest area wobbles even when it is placed on a flat surface, which is quite annoying.

Either the base is unbalanced or the silicone leg on the right is slightly shorter than the silicone leg on the left. With all the available units, it might not be a problem in either case.

As we move to the sides, we can see the standard I/O configuration, which appears to be evenly distributed. The left side is home to the majority of the connectors, including the SD card reader, HDMI, USB 3.0, USB-C 3.1 (Gen 1), and RJ-45 for LAN. The DC charging port, two USB 2.0 connectors, and the 3.5 mm audio jack are all located on the right side of the device.

We’ve already seen this Acer design in a number of other notebooks when we open the lid. Although it still attracts fingerprints, the brushed aluminum interior serves as a relatively stable construction. Only the area around the touchpad appears to be bending slightly, but in our opinion this is nothing too serious.

Furthermore, this laptop is designed to fit a tight budget. While we’re talking about the touchpad, let’s just say it’s the same as the one on the Aspire 5: it has chamfered edges, a smooth surface for gliding, is reasonably responsive, and has light, clicky mouse clicks. In comparison to the less expensive Aspire 5, we’ve noticed a subtle but noticeable change in the keyboard.

For the best typing comfort, the keycaps still have a slightly concave surface and offer that light, clicky tactile feedback. But when typing, we can definitely feel the longer key travel compared to the Aspire 5. The latter’s keys had a peculiarly “dull” feeling. Even so, the arrow keys aren’t particularly convenient for gaming, but this isn’t advertised as a “strictly gaming laptop.”

Finally, Given the price, the Aspire 7 appears to be a well-built 17-inch computer with far fewer compromises than we had anticipated. We also liked the touchpad and keyboard, which are frequently overlooked in notebooks of this type.

Conclusion

Purchase the impressively equipped Acer Aspire 7 A717-72G-700J (NH.GXEAA.005) laptop (Core i7 8th Gen/16 GB/256 GB SSD/Windows 10/6 GB). With this laptop’s sturdy, full-length, and ergonomically designed gaming keyboard, you can work for prolonged periods of time with the utmost convenience. Additionally, there is absolutely no possibility of battery swelling or overheating.

You can therefore carry this small, light laptop on your back. But also, the Core i7 8th Gen (16 GB/256 GB SSD/Windows 10/6 GB) Acer Aspire 7 A717-72G-700J (NH.GXEAA.005) laptop is available in India for Rs 114,084.

Additionally, the manufacturer offers a one-year warranty on the product starting from the time of purchase.
