Elegoo Return Policy

Quick answer: Elegoo gives you 14 days from delivery to return most items in unopened or unused condition. Returns must be pre-approved by their support team — you can’t just ship something back without getting the go-ahead first.

How to Start a Return

All returns require pre-approval before you ship anything. Contact Elegoo support directly at [email protected] with your order number, product model, and a description of the issue. Once approved, you’ll receive a designated return address and a return label valid for 7 days.

  1. Email [email protected] (or use the support form at elegoo.com/pages/support-center) with your order number and reason for return
  2. Wait for approval and the designated return address — do not ship until you have both
  3. Ship the item within 7 days of approval (the return label expires after 7 days)
  4. Keep your tracking number — Elegoo processes refunds after receiving and inspecting the item

What’s Covered (and What Isn’t)

Eligible for return (non-quality issues):

  • Unopened items within 14 days of delivery (5% restocking fee applies)
  • Open-box, unused items within 14 days of delivery (15% restocking fee applies)

Not eligible for return:

  • Used products (for non-quality/non-defect reasons)
  • Items returned more than 14 days after delivery
  • Products with missing accessories, parts, or original packaging (Elegoo deducts the value of missing items)
  • Pre-owned or refurbished items
  • Items returned without prior approval

Quality-related issues (defective or damaged products) are handled differently:

  • Within 14 days: You can get a full refund, replacement, or repair — and Elegoo covers return shipping and repair costs
  • Within the warranty period (but past 14 days): Repair only — Elegoo covers repair fees
  • Out of warranty: Repair available — customer covers return shipping; repair costs depend on the issue

How Long Does the Refund Take?

Once Elegoo receives and inspects your return, refunds are processed within 5 business days back to your original payment method. Factor in shipping time on top of that — so realistically, expect 1–2 weeks from when you drop off the package to when the money hits your account.

One thing to watch: if the returned item is missing any accessories, cables, or packaging, Elegoo will deduct the value of those missing pieces before issuing the refund.

Warranty vs. Return Policy

Quick note: If your Elegoo printer has stopped working or has a defect, that’s a warranty claim — not a return. Elegoo covers most 3D printers with a 12-month warranty from the date of delivery. Warranty repairs are free within that window. Contact support at elegoo.com/pages/support-center for warranty issues rather than trying to process it as a return.

FAQ

Can I return an Elegoo printer I’ve already used? No — used products are not eligible for return under Elegoo’s standard policy for non-quality reasons. If there’s a defect or manufacturing issue, that falls under the warranty process, not a return.

What if I bought it from Amazon, not directly from Elegoo? Amazon returns follow Amazon’s own return policy, not Elegoo’s. For most products, Amazon gives you 30 days from delivery with free return shipping — generally more flexible than buying direct from Elegoo’s store.

Does Elegoo charge a restocking fee? Yes. Unopened returns incur a 5% restocking fee based on the order amount. Open-box unused returns incur a 15% restocking fee. Defective product returns within 14 days do not have a restocking fee.

Can I exchange instead of returning? Elegoo doesn’t offer direct exchanges. For quality-related issues within 14 days, you can request a replacement unit. For non-quality returns, you’d return the item and place a new order.

What if my item arrived damaged? Significant damage during transit is covered — but you’ll need a carrier-issued damage report as documentation. Contact Elegoo support immediately with photos and your damage report, and they’ll treat it as a quality-related issue.

Return policies change — always verify current terms at elegoo.com/pages/return-and-refund-policy before initiating a return.
