The noise cancellation feature of AirPods is unparalleled in the TWS industry, and incorporating this feature while gaming on a Steam Deck can enhance the gaming experience significantly. However, connecting AirPods to the Steam Deck has posed a challenge for many users. In this article, we provide a guide to help you with the process.

Although the steps to connect the AirPods are straightforward, users have reported difficulty establishing the initial connection, requiring multiple attempts. If you are experiencing similar issues, this article offers solutions to successfully set up AirPods with the Steam Deck. So, let’s dive into it without any further delay.

How To Connect AirPods To Your Steam Deck?

The following steps are standard, and every time you want to connect AirPods to any device, you need to go through this process. However, with the Steam Deck, you might have to repeat this process a few times to establish the connection.

Let’s go through the steps:

  1. Tap on the Steam button to open up the sidebar.
  2. Navigate to Settings > Bluetooth.
  3. Open the lid on your AirPods, and hold the button at the back of the case. Wait until the light on your AirPods flashes.
  4. The flashing light indicates that the AirPods are in pairing mode. Tap on the AirPods option in the Steam Deck and wait until the connection is established.
  5. You may need to repeat this process several times to get it to work.

If, for some reason, this method doesn’t work even after multiple attempts, you can try a minor fix. Follow these steps:

  1. Plug your mouse and keyboard into the USB ports on your Steam Deck.
  2. Hold the power button to bring up the power menu.
  3. Choose “Switch to Desktop” to switch over to the Linux desktop.
  4. Now go to Bluetooth Settings and set it to enable on login.
  5. This should fix the connection problem for you.

That’s how you can connect your AirPods to the Steam Deck. If you have any questions or queries about this article, please comment below, and we will reply.
