You can now become a Tesla owner without spending the big bucks thanks to our latest gadget: a sleek, pocket-sized Tesla Powerbank for mobile devices that’s powered by the same cell found in many of the batteries of our vehicles.
Tesla, an American manufacturer of electric cars and renewable energy, made an official announcement about the release of a new wireless power bank 2.0 in 2021.
Tesla Power Bank Cost
The Tesla wireless power bank has a 10,000mAh battery capacity, supports the Qi protocol, and costs $45 USD.
The new power bank is available in five colors that correspond to Tesla’s five paint finishes: midnight silver, dark blue gold, red multi-coated, pearl white multi-coated, and pure black.
With the wireless portable charger 2.0, you can charge whenever and wherever you want, whether on the road, at work, or in your daily life.
It has a battery capacity of up to 10000 mAh (approximately 37Wh) and a USB-C data connector, allowing you to charge it via wire if you prefer.
Simply place the Qi-enabled smartphone on the charging pad to quickly and safely charge or fast charge it.
You can use Tesla’s wireless charging dock or any other wireless charging device to charge your wireless portable charger 2.0.
Remember that Tesla unveiled a wireless charger for smartphones, iPhones, and Android phones in 2018.
The wireless charger has a 6,000mAh battery and a power output of 5W for wireless charging and 7.5W for wired charging.
The Tesla Powerbank features:
- Compact Design
- Integrated USB
- Integrated Apple lightning and detachable micro USB
- High efficiency circuitry to deliver maximum battery capacity
- Charge status indicator
Technical Specs:
- Single 18650 cell with 3350mAh capacity
- Input: 1800±200mA
- Output: 5V/1.5A max
The Powerbank is powered by a single 18650 lithium ion battery cell, which is best known as the foundation for the Model S and Model X battery packs.
Tesla’s flagship consumer vehicles rely on thousands of 18650 cells packed into individual modules to provide the long-range and performance capabilities for which the company is best known. Instead of having 100 kWh of battery capacity, enough to move a vehicle weighing more than two tons more than 300 miles (482 km), the Powerbank has 3350 mAh capacity, which is enough to power your standard iOS or Android mobile device.

Design
The $45 Powerbank is designed and inspired after Tesla’s supercharger monument at the Tesla Design Studio.
Along with the portable battery, Tesla has added a Desktop Supercharger to its storefront, which is essentially a miniature Supercharger for your mobile device.
Tesla claims that the accessory was created using the same 3D CAD data that was used to create the actual Supercharger.
Though this isn’t a life-sized unit, as we recently saw when one Tesla owner decided to build a Supercharger for their garage, having a working miniature version of it on one’s desktop is fun.
